Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how SKRIN, operated by Kaufman Holdings, LLC (“we,” “us,” “our”), collects, uses, and protects your information. Your vault and its contents belong to you, and we treat your data with care.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide

• Account information — name, email, phone (optional), and password.
• Asset records — the items you catalog: names, serial numbers, brands, models, purchase dates, values, conditions, notes, and tags.
• Uploads — photos, receipts, and warranty documents you choose to add.
• Support and communications — messages you send us.

Information collected automatically

• Usage and device data — log data, IP address, browser/device type, and activity within the app, used to operate and secure the service.

Payment information

Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers. We receive limited billing details (such as subscription status and the last four digits of your card) from Stripe to manage your subscription.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide, maintain, and improve the service and your vault;
• To process subscriptions and payments;
• To send transactional messages (account confirmations, security notices, warranty alerts you enable, and service updates);
• To provide customer support;
• To detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and security issues;
• To comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information.

3. Your Asset Data Is Private

The contents of your vault — your asset records, photos, and documents — are private to your account. Access is enforced at the database level so that only you (and people you explicitly share a vault with) can view them.

If your access is sponsored by a Partner(such as a property manager offering SKRIN as a resident benefit): the Partner can see account- and roster-level information — for example, that a unit is active and the resident's contact details they provided — but the Partner cannot view the contents of your vault. Your asset records remain private to you.

4. How We Share Information

We share information only as needed to run the service:

• Service providers — infrastructure and tools that operate the service on our behalf, including Supabase (database, authentication, file storage), Stripe (payments), Vercel (hosting), and Resend (email delivery). These providers process data under contract and only as needed to provide their services.
• Partners — for sponsored residents, account- and roster-level information as described in Section 3 (never vault contents).
• Legal and safety — when required by law, legal process, or to protect rights, safety, and the integrity of the service.
• Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.

5. Data Security

We use industry-standard safeguards, including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), encryption at rest provided by our infrastructure, row-level access controls, and restricted administrative access. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Data Retention & Deletion

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. You can request export or deletion of your data at any time (see Section 7). After account deletion, we remove or de-identify your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we must retain certain records to comply with legal, tax, or security obligations.

7. Your Rights & Choices

• Access & export — you can view and export your asset data and reports from within the app.
• Correction — you can edit or update your information at any time.
• Deletion — you can request deletion of your account and data.
• Email preferences — you can opt out of non-essential emails; we may still send essential transactional messages.

8. Cookies

We use essential cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in and to operate the service securely. We do not use them to sell your data.

9. Children's Privacy

SKRIN is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. International Users

We operate in the United States, and your information may be processed and stored there. By using the service, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with a new “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, communicated to you.
